Maunsell this year introduced a new People and Performance Plan that recognises employee skills and knowledge are the primary source of organisational capability and competitive advantage. The plan enhances opportunities for people and inspires the best possible performance outcomes.To implement the plan, Maunsell’s Human Resources team commenced an ongoing program of employee engagement, with an aim to develop the cultural structure so that support for employees aligns with the strategic plan and company values. In a strong statement about the new employee framework, the Human Resources function was renamed ‘People and Performance’.
Under this banner, Maunsell’s People and Performance team devised a People and Performance Plan to enhance company performance by supporting employees to achieve their professional and personal goals.
The outcomes of this Plan are expected to drive employee engagement, career planning and flexibility initiatives, and retention of high-caliber talent. As part of the plan, the team also continued to improve the execution of the transactional aspects of HR - hiring, remunerating and deploying staff in a new frame of understanding and valuing human resources.
